Thank you for visiting Bodyworks Wellness Massage. It is such good news that the human body perpetually strives to heal itself; to reach balance through homeostasis. Therapeutic massage is a way to help that process along, creating an improved state of well being, by affecting the physiological and energetic body. There are many benefits to massage that go beyond the relaxing, pampering treat we've traditionally interpreted massage to be.  I've listed many benefits of massage further down this page for you to see.

In my practice, I integrate a variety of modalities during a session to address the needs of a client. Some choose a deep tissue massage that can include deep kneading, trigger point release, shiatsu palming and finger compression, manipulation of fascia, cross-fiber friction, traction to open up joints, rocking and tapotement. Others prefer lighter touch in which I use swedish, moderate reflexology on the feet and hands, cranial massage and gentle shiatsu point work to open up appropriate energy meridians in the body.  The result is a refreshed, happy and much more balanced you!
